SMP-DVD-28003 - Idaho Ghost TownsA journey through time. The promise of riches lured them west by the thousands. Prospectors and fortune hunters set up camp and constructed small towns and cities virtually overnight. But when the gold was gone many of the towns were left deserted. One day a thriving community, the next, a ghost town. While only crumpled buildings, rusting machinery and weathered wood remain, the stories of how they lived is etched in history. It's a part of our western heritage which is disappearing. Many of the towns that were once home to thousands when the gold was discovered are now faded memories.
