7 Days BAHAMAS || 7DY-DVD-116 - Nassau is the capital of the island of New Providence which is one of the many islands of the Bahaman archipelago that extends for almost a thousand kilometres between Cuba and Florida in the Atlantic Ocean. New Providence is the commercial and political centre and is more commonly known as the Bahamas. Nassau is a city without skyscrapers. The historic city centre contains several buildings that date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. Although the city has around a hundred and fifty thousand inhabitants, it looks like a gold digger's town that has prospered at great speed: and in a way that's exactly what it is! In 1492 Christopher Columbus lay anchor on the Bahaman island of San Salvador and in front of Government House a statue duly commemorates the famous adventurer. The next to arrive were pirates, smugglers, settlers and tradesmen. Every kind of fortune hunter was keen to exploit the islands of the Caribbean. Two bridges connect Nassau with Paradise Island and the most modern and spectacular resort in the Bahamas - Atlantis! This, the largest entertainment oasis in the world, has a unique aquarium landscape. In addition to mantas, dolphins and huge turtles it contains more than two hundred species with no less than fifty thousand sea creatures. The South African hotel tycoon, Sol Kerzner, created this fantastic resort. Lagoons surrounded by jungle, relaxing bays, waterfalls, chain link bridges and channels for swimming with rubber hoses create a sensation of excitement and adventure. Channel Cay is one of more than three hundred and sixty five sunny islands of the Exuma Cay where there's a mouth-watering selection of fresh fish and seafood available. The Bahamas: the very name conjures up remote sandy beaches and turquoise blue water, romantic sunsets and tropical nights. A place where fantastic dreams become wonderful reality.

7 Days THAILAND || 7DY-DVD-129 - Thailand is a land of smiles and sunshine, the gem of Asia. A fascinating land of contrast, chaotic traffic, serene temples, poverty, wealth, hustle and contemplation. The metropolis of Bangkok boasts many wonderful sights such as Wat Phra Kaeo, the Temple Of The Emerald Buddha, that is highly revered by the Thai people. The city's most important landmark is also its most beautiful temple complex, a wonderful work of art comprising golden Chedis and numerous resplendent buildings. The River Kwai Bridge: the film of the same name made the bridge world famous. In Kanchanaburi the railway spans the wide River Kwai and this bold construction consists of steel and concrete, not wood as was depicted in the film. A bridge that symbolises the brutality of war built by thousands of prisoners of war under the command of the Japanese. Thirteen kilometres north of Bang-In is the former capital of ancient Thailand, Ayutthaya. The most famous historic site in Thailand has retained its exotic appearance. The Wat Mahathat was built in around 1380. Its main feature is a mighty banyan tree whose roots grow around a severed Buddha head. Chiang Mai is the most important city in northern Thailand and is located within a fertile river valley three hundred metres above sea level. The centre of the first independent kingdom in Thailand situated within the famous Golden Triangle. The Hmong are the largest of the northern mountain tribes. They originated in Laos and Southern China and it is believed that this tribe, divided into clans, once had its own kingdom. Thailand is a mysterious land full of contrast, natural beauty and superlative exotica!

7 Days JAMAICA || 7DY-DVD-133 - Montego Bay is Jamaica's second largest city which, at the end of the 18th century, was one of the most important harbours for the island's sugar industry. The lively city centre is a mixture of both old and new with modern concrete houses located next to simple wooden huts and congested streets with numerous small shops and street traders. Close to Falmouth, there's the excitement of Martha Brae River Rafting which is an excellent way to explore this tropical paradise in which dense tropical rain forest shows off all its spectacular colours. It was here on the north coast that Christopher Columbus landed in1502 and where the Spanish were defeated by the British in a bloody battle for sovereign control of the island. Dunn`s River Falls is the name of a waterfall near to Ochos Rios, one of the island's most well known natural attractions. In swimming attire, more than a million annual visitors attempt to climb through spraying torrents of water whilst linking hands in a human chain. In foaming cascades, the water plunges 200 metres down toward the sea over step-shaped limestone blocks and across an overgrown landscape of ferns and plants. Harmony Hall, a Victorian building that is a reminder of British colonial rule, is the name of an immaculate manor house located on a turn of the century plantation. Today it contains a handicraft centre and also a gallery which displays the works of indigenous artists. James Bond Beach is the name of the former winter retreat of the English author, Ian Fleming, who created British secret agent, James Bond. The famous author wrote most of his fourteen 007 novels on the small island of Golden Eye, of which five were set in Jamaica. Expansive fields of coconut palms dominate the Sun Valley Plantation which continues a tradition that dates back 250 years. In addition to bananas, citrus fruits, papayas, melons and apples, various spices are also cultivated on the plantation.
